W@VE Community Health "Sleeves Up – Spring Into Action" Event

6 /100

We work together every day to do important work. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive lifesaving blood.

Also, to meet the needs of patients with sickle cell disease, blood donations are urgently needed from African Americans donors. Currently, there are not enough blood donors to meet this need. It is critical that sickle cell patients have the most compatible blood match.

Now, let’s roll up our sleeves and make a difference in the lives of others! Find a local blood drive in your area by visiting the Red Cross website or by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App. Make an appointment today. Every donation counts.

Thanks for your support!
