One blood donation can help save up to three lives. It is important to Williams Overman Pierce, LLP, to give back to the community in which we work and live. With all of the disasters occurring around the world, the available blood supply is low. As part of the NCACPA’s Annual CPA Day of Service Campaign, we are hosting a virtual blood drive in an effort to increase the blood supply.
Help us reach our goal and ensure that patients receive the life-saving blood they need. 95X, 100.7 WRDU, G105 and CBS North Carolina are hosting the Rock & Roll Up Your Sleeve blood drive at Crabtree Valley Mall on August 30, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. It takes about an hour to go through the process of donating. Please consider stopping by at lunch or after work to roll up your sleeve and make a donation. For presenting to donate, you will receive a $5 Amazon gift card and a T-shirt. There are also other door prizes you could win.
There are other blood drives in the area if August 30th does not work for you.
Be the Match, the national registry for bone marrow donors, will also be at the Rock & Roll Up Your Sleeve blood drive. If you feel led, I encourage you to get your cheek swabbed and become a part of the bone marrow donor program. If you are chosen as a match for someone with a blood disease, the outcome can be very rewarding!!
