Join with the Western Governors University team and pledge to give blood!
COVID-19 has had a profound impact on communities nationwide. Thousands of blood drives have been cancelled since March 2020 and behind that number are real people in need of lifesaving care, and countless more who love and depend on them.
WGU Cares; embraces any assistance we can offer that prevents vulnerable patients from being at risk of insufficient blood supplies to treat unexpected trauma, chronic illness like sickle cell disease, and diseases like cancer.
We can be the change! We encourage our faculty, staff and students to donate blood during our Sleeves Up Campaign.
We encourage all of our eligible members to donate blood in order to support the national blood supply for those in need.
We will be able to track your lifesaving pledges and look forward to announcing the region that pledges the most donations by the end of this year!
Our goal is to donate 250 units by December 31st, 2023. Please schedule your appointment to donate. We also urge you to promote the event and recruit blood donors from your network to join in this vital community service.
