On March 30, 2024, the day before Easter, Jordan was out walking on Eastern Parkway near Dairy Kastle around 5 p.m. when he was shot as a result of a random attack. Jordan underwent several surgeries and received more than 119 blood products. He fought hard but ultimately passed away on April 20, 2024. We are forever grateful for UofL Hospital staff and blood donors because the last week Jordan was awake and able to communicate. Blood donation gave us precious time. Nearly 70 donations were collected at the inaugural “Fill the Wells” blood drive back in May. We would love to surpass that number in November. Help us celebrate Jordan’s birth month by giving blood and sharing hope.
