In October, our Wedgewood Community has the opportunity to make a difference by donating blood through a company-wide virtual blood drive. The Red Cross’ national blood supply has fallen by about 25% since early August. Right now, blood product distributions to hospitals are outpacing the number of blood donations coming in.
Blood donation is so critical since there is no substitute for blood. Donors provide the only supply of life-saving blood for those in need. Each pint of blood we collect can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. What a great way to pay it forward and make an impact on people in our community and across the country. We are very excited about the drive, and I hope you are too.
Denise Williams in People Success is leading this initiative on behalf of the Wellness Ambassadors, she will be happy to answer any questions you may have. The drive will start October 1st and end on October 31st. Let’s show our communities and the patients in need of blood just how much Wedgewood’s Heartbeat Heroes can do! Donating is simple, fast, and convenient. The donation process can take as little as 45 minutes of your time but can make a lifelong difference for someone else.

If you donate and submit proof of your donation you will be entered into our donation raffles. Proof of donation can be a picture of you in the donation center, you wearing a “be kind to me I donated” sticker or submitting a copy of the donation receipt.
