9 year old Vinny was diagnosed with AML Leukemia on 3/27/21 and will spend 6-7 months in the hospital receiving chemo and necessary medical treatments like blood and platelets. Less then 10% of eligible donors in the US actually donate blood. 1 pint of blood can help up to 3 people. One platelet donation can also help up to 3 people, and over 50% of platelet donations go to cancer patients. Without donations of blood and platelets patients like Vinny can die.
