Every 2 seconds, somebody in the United States needs blood products. In just one minute 30 people will require blood. By this time tomorrow, 43,000 blood donations will be used to save lives.
Trauma or surgery patients need red blood cells. Platelets are needed for cancer patients, organ transplant patients, and surgery patients. Plasma is used for treating burn patients and those with bleeding disorders.
Donor blood is the gift of life for these patients.
I have set up this virtual blood drive so you can help save lives by donating blood. My goal is 30 donations. This volume is the average demand for one minute in the United States. Please consider being a hero and saving lives.
