It’s that time of year to be thankful for what you have and give what you can to others! The Anthem W@VE ARG announcing the “30 days of giving virtual blood drive”! From November 23rd to December 23rd, 2020, you can show your thankfulness and holiday spirit by donating blood as part of this event.
The goal of our “30 days of giving virtual blood drive” is to bring awareness about the importance of giving blood, as well as encourage many to take part in this life-saving event. Someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds. One unit of blood helps three people. By giving blood, we can save many lives and February is a time of great need for the Red Cross. Those in need represent all ages and backgrounds. Some of the patients who need blood include:
• COVID-19 patients
• Cancer patients
• Burn patients
• Trauma patients
• Sickle cell patients
• Patients with chronic illness
From car accidents to natural disasters, the Red Cross is on the frontline to assist those in need. As such, it is extremely important the blood supply is stocked and ready to address any event. Together, we can have a positive impact and assist those in need.
You can also share this link and invite your friends, family and those in your community to participate. Now, let’s roll up our sleeves and make a difference in the lives of the communities we serve. I think cupid would approve!
