The Satanic Temple is launching its annual Day of Action on May 1, 2025, coinciding with the National Day of Prayer. We encourage everyone to move beyond just “thoughts and prayers” and instead take meaningful action by donating blood in their communities throughout May.
Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Blood is crucial for helping patients survive surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. This lifesaving care begins with a single person taking action, yet only 3% of those eligible to donate blood do so each year.
The Satanic Temple’s first tenet is “To act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures according to reason.” By living our values, we strive to enhance the lives of others through national and local Good Works Campaigns.

The Blood Drive is officially underway and runs through Saturday, May 31. If you haven’t already done so, please make your appointment to donate during that time.

We also encourage donors to download the Red Cross app and join The Satanic Temple’s blood donor team. As of today, we are ranked #65 out of over 71,000 teams and have saved 27,000 lives.

We understand that many of you may not have a Red Cross location close to you. Please don’t let that stop you from participating in this Day of Action. We encourage everyone to find a blood service convenient to them and make their appointment. It’s the action that’s important!
