We started “Take the time 2 save a life” during a very difficult time for my brother Tony and our family. I have 2 older brothers that has sickle cell and being able to receive a blood transfusion is detrimental to both of their health.
Right now my 2nd brother Tony has a very very ware blood type because of the antibodies in his blood. He needs blood immediately and its taking several days to get one unit as his hemoglobin has decreased. At this very moment we are in need of 5 UNITS in order to proceed with the exchange transfusion. If this is life threaten for my brother, i can only imagine what others and their families maybe going through.
