My Dad was a great supporter of the American Red Cross. I didn’t realize he was the Chair of his local chapter in Saginaw, Michigan in the 1980’s until after he passed away in 2011. What an inspiration for me as I became Chair of the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter this year, being able to follow in his footsteps. He also received life-saving blood in Milwaukee when he came to Mt. Sinai hospital from Michigan for triple bi-pass surgery in the early 80’s. My Dad was dedicated to serving his community, and the Red Cross was a big part of that!
