Steph’s Birthday Blood Drive

1 /18

They say it’s better to give than receive, and I couldn’t agree more. Which is why I’m donating my birthday to the American Red Cross!   I am celebrating the big 55, I am looking for 18 donors in the next 2 months which would help 54 people (each pint donation of blood helps 3 people, therefore 3 x 18= 54 and I’m scheduled to donate again in June so it will bring that to 57!

The first few weeks of the Pandemic, I was at a loss on what I could do to help.  I ended up finding a local Blood Drive and signed up to donate and I felt like I made a small difference but to someone in need of blood, it is a big difference! Everything was very well organized, extremely clean and followed Social Distance Guidelines.  I’m hosting a SleevesUp virtual blood drive and asking friends and family to pledge to give blood in the next 60 days.

To get started, make your pledge by clicking the red button above, and then visit redcrossblood.org to schedule your donation appointment. You can give at a locally hosted blood drive or at a permanent Red Cross blood donation center. There are several local blood drives and I noticed McGovern’s (in Fall River) had a lot of openings on June 22nd from 12:30-5:30.

The impact we can make together is the best gift I can imagine! Thanks for helping celebrate my birthday and for helping save  lives with your generous gift. Please pledge to give blood today!  And as always, Be Kind <3
