The Spooky Szn Virtual Blood Drive is a spirited response to the Coronavirus pandemic by the officers of Accel Middle College Student Council and its constituents. We encourage friends, classmates, family, and acquaintances to take a few hours to donate blood for the cause of supplying medical workers with the proper resources to treat their patients. The pandemic has discouraged eligible donors from participating, but with the Spooky Szn Virtual Blood Drive, you may donate at any physical location nearest to you. Furthermore, if you have recovered from COVID-19, it would be especially helpful to receive your contributions as there may be antibodies in your blood plasma. In the spirit of Halloween, we encourage wearing a costume to your appointment and share a pic using the hashtag, #spookysznblooddrive. We work together every day to do important work. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive life saving blood.
