Spine Specialists of Michigan has partnered with the American Red Cross in hosting a virtual blood drive to help save lives and improve the quality of life for people in our community.
“The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis – its worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care. Doctors have been forced to make difficult decisions about who receives blood transfusions and who will need to wait until more products become available. Blood and platelet donations are critically needed to help prevent further delays in vital medical treatments.”
Every 2 seconds someone in the United States needs blood, and with a simple blood donation, you could be saving the life of a loved one, friend, coworker, or neighbor. The short amount of time it takes to donate could mean a lifetime to a patient with a serious medical condition. We urge eligible donors to join us in the selfless act of giving blood. And, if you are unable to donate blood, monetary contributions to the American Red Cross are also accepted and greatly appreciated.
