This year for my birthday, I would love to get as many friends and family to join me in a SleevesUp campaign in memory of my mom, Linda Cooney. She was taken too soon from us 11 years ago, and in the end when she was very sick, she received a lot of donated blood as the doctors and nurses made every effort to try to save her. I think about this and how amazing it is that people donate blood and give to help others. The American Red Cross and blood donation are very dear to me for this reason, and every time I donate it is in memory of my mom. As life has gotten crazier, I have fallen off-track with regular donations – it is time to get back on track and I hope you will roll up your sleeves and join me!
