SleevesUp in Loving Memory of My Brother Tom Kurcz

9 /59

I started this campaign for the month of February in loving memory of my brother, Tom Kurcz, who would have been 59 on February 8th. On the day of his diagnosis with cancer, he received a massive blood transfusion of 10 pints of blood — the maximum you can receive in 24 hours. He received more blood transfusions in the years to follow during his treatment. Tom was extremely grateful for these blood transfusions and in planning his funeral, asked friends and family to support the American Red Cross in lieu of flowers. I am already a lifelong blood donor, but am asking for your help in supporting his wish. My dream is to have one donation for every year of his birthday. It is a BIG ask. I hope that you will help by donating AND by sharing this campaign.

Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. Help me to celebrate Tom’s birthday by ensuring that patients in need get life saving blood. It’s easy to find an appointment that’s near to you and every donation can help save up to three lives.

Let’s roll our Sleeves Up for Tom!
