The United States is experiencing the worst blood shortage in over a decade. The dangerously low blood supply levels have forced some hospitals to defer patients from major surgery, including organ transplants. Cancer patients must be sicker and wait longer to be eligible for transfusions that greatly improve their quality of life. This blood shortage directly impacts some of our own employee-owners. The Engagement Team will be hosting a blood drive at the Edina office on August 16, but if you are not able to attend, you can still participate by pledging your donation to our virtual drive!
