Beginning on Valentine’s Day, I am hosting a month-long Virtual Blood Drive to encourage friends and family of my sister, Catherine Thornton, to donate blood in her honor. Catherine was a regular blood donor, and over the years routinely donated her blood/plasma to the American Red Cross/Mississippi Blood Services.
She always did what she could to help others—even those she did not know. Since Valentine’s Day is all about love and March is her birth month, I thought this would be the perfect time of year to honor her loving spirit and helpful heart! We will never be able to bring our beautiful Cat back, but we can do our best to try and help others still in need. The only way to live in a world without Catherine is to become more like her, and this is the perfect place to start. Thank you in advance for donations and for all the continued prayers for our family.
