They say it’s better to give than receive, and I couldn’t agree more. Which is why I’m donating my birthday to the American Red Cross!
I’m hosting a SleevesUp virtual blood drive, asking friends and family to pledge to give blood in the next 30 days. Together, we’ll track our pledges, cheer each other on, and, most importantly, provide a lifesaving gift for patients in need.
At the end, we’ll have a party with food and prize drawings to celebrate the # of donors, the # of gallons donated, the # of lives saved, and the # of first time donors! That’s right, if you’re a first timer, let me know – I’d love to join you at the donation center if I can.
To get started, make your pledge by clicking the red button above, and then visit redcrossblood.org to schedule your donation appointment. You can give at a locally hosted blood drive or at a permanent Red Cross blood donation center. And if you schedule your appointment at the 132nd & Dodge St location, they’ll have a shirt waiting for you.

I’m really excited to get this campaign rolling! It’s fun to see which of my friends are already regular blood donors!
