Hand Washing. Social Distancing. Virtual Workplace. Community Thinking.
About one in seven people entering a hospital need blood. Only 37 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood – less than 10 percent do annually.**
It us up to US to take care of each other in these unprecedented times. As health care professionals, we feel called to DO something to help patients even though we no longer practice at the bedside. Blood banks across the nation have issued a call to action in anticipation of COVID19. Through our experience and training, we understand the challenge of delivering care when blood supplies run low. We recognize our global connectedness and pledge to donate in honor of patients and health care providers delivering care on the front lines.
**If you are not able to donate, you can still help! Spread the word about this campaign, send encouragement and good vibes to a teammate who can donate, or find a friend or volunteer to donate in your stead! No act of kindness is too small! Thank you, BI Medicine! Sleeves Up!
