Listen. I get it. So far 2020 has felt like a pre-apocalyptic nightmare. Australia was on fire, WWIII seemed imminent, tornadoes tore through middle TN, and now, a pandemic is spreading across the globe. Although the Winchester itself has had to close its doors to quarantine, we can still “share a pint” at our local blood donation center and wait for all this to blow over.
Each whole blood donation is approximately one pint of blood and can impact up to three lives – including trauma and burn patients, people with sickle cell disease and cancer, and patients undergoing life-saving surgeries. Unfortunately, as coronavirus sweeps through the U.S., approximately 2,700 blood drives have been cancelled, resulting in 86,000 fewer donations. While hospitals have already begun rationing their blood supply in anticipation of this severe shortage, unless volunteer donors like you and me show up and roll up our sleeves, it won’t be enough.
So grab a friend, schedule an appointment with your local donation center, and share a pint to save a life!

The ARC anticipates that COVID-19 could decrease the nation’s blood supplies by 25%. Your donation can help fill the gap!
