The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library is working in conjunction with the American Red Cross to encourage blood donations in our next Seasons of Sharing, SleevesUp: Virtual Blood Drive. According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
Beginning Sunday, October 15, and continuing through Saturday, October 28, Seasons of Sharing will encourage everyone to pledge to donate blood, with a goal of 40 donations. Donations may be pledged online and then made at any time and location convenient for you during the duration of the campaign
If you are unable to pledge a donation, monetary donations can also be made to the American Red Cross.
The Seasons of Sharing donation drives at EVPL have been a success due to the generosity of staff and community for over a year and a half. Recipients have benefitted from donations of non-perishable foods, children’s clothing, pet supplies, teacher classroom items, and baby diapers and hygiene products.
Challenge your friends (or anyone for that matter) to a friendly competition! Who will win the battle to do the most social good for your community?
