As most of you know, July 2016 our lives were forever changed. Sawyer did not survive the catastrophic uterine rupture and I was in critical condition. My blood loss was so great that the doctors weren’t sure I would survive. It was touch and go for several days. Blood transfusions literally saved my life. We always do random acts of kindness for Sawyers birthday each year but this year, I’d like to ask friends and family to donate blood in memory of him— random acts of kindness are still encouraged! Without the blood I received those days, I would not be here. That day was an absolutely devastating day for us all but it could have been even worse for Chris and the kids, had I not survived.
