I’m Ashley and this SleevesUp Campaign is to honor my late husband Said. He had an affinity for Marvel and Super Heroes so what better than to name this campaign Said’s Super Heroes.
We married on November 13, 2021, celebrating with our friends & family both near and far. Sadly, only 3 days later Said passed away from colon cancer. His kind heart and big smile will forever be missed as we continue to honor his legacy and savor the memories we shared.
Our last couple of months together were spent in and out of the hospital due to complications from cancer. As we explored possible treatments and other options that could provide us with more time, Said required many units of blood. We are so grateful for all who donated blood and gave us the gift of extra time together.
As a way to honor Said and give back to our community, I’d like to encourage all our friends & family (near and far) to donate blood if you’re able. Having additional time with your loved one is priceless, and I’d like to be able to give that opportunity to someone else.
