Ryann beat Leukemia’s butt, now get your butt out there and donate blood!

Rockin' her bald head the entire way through!
4 /100

One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning for our family recently. As many of you know, my daughter, Ryann was diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia last spring.  I am pleased to announce that she is approaching her very last chemo session soon and has no evidence of disease!  I am immensely grateful that she is among the 80%+ with this diagnosis who are cured of this horrible blood cancer.

To put my gratitude into action, I am asking everyone who is eligible to commit to giving blood somewhere.  Ryann was the recipient of dozens of blood and platelet transfusions through the course of her treatment, as is common for cancer patients of all types, but much more so with leukemia.  It took dozens of generous blood donors to save her life. Without volunteer blood donors, we may not be sharing such wonderful news today.

Every day, blood is needed all over the country.  There are other patients out there who need you, so to celebrate Ryann’s recovery, please roll your sleeves up and give! Please help me reach my goal of 100 donations and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
