The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. Right now, the need for blood is more critical than ever. January is National Blood Donor Month, and for a good reason: it is the most difficult time of year for the Red Cross to maintain sufficient blood supply. Blood donations drop off sharply during winter time due to harsh weather, seasonal illnesses, and schools being out of session; however, there remain thousands of patients who still require blood for life saving treatments.
So SleevesUp and help the American Red Cross Club at UC Davis reach our goal. Make an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross and save up to three lives!
