Purdue University Global American Red Cross Club Donation Challenge

How your blood saves lives!
7 /50

The virtual American Red Cross Student Chapter at Purdue University Global is inviting everyone across the nation to donate blood. Today, there aren’t enough blood donors to meet the urgent need.  For example, a single car accident victim can need up to 100 units of blood, while the average red blood cell transfusion is about 3 units. Since blood and platelets cannot be manufactured and are only available through volunteer donors, every donation is essential. The blood type most often requested is type O, and one donation can help save multiple lives (Red Cross, 2025). By supporting blood drives through the virtual American Red Cross chapter at Purdue University Global, you can play an integral role in meeting the ongoing demand for blood and platelets in your communities.

So SleevesUp and help us reach our goal. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
