Due to concerns over social distancing – and with most of PSEG’s employees working from home – we have cancelled our planned 2021 blood drives that had been planned. We expect to start up on-site blood drives sometime in early 2022.
We work together every day to accomplish great things do important work. But today, we want to do accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross needs to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive lifesaving blood.
In partnership with the American Red Cross, we now have initiated a PSEG “SleevesUp” campaign, which allows you to make a pledge to donate blood in the near future. After your pledge has been received, the American Red Cross will then locate the best donation opportunities near you and schedule a place and time that when and where you can give blood.
Employees will earn 500 Be Well Pulse points and also can use a portion of your company volunteer time for the travel and the donation effort.
