Worldwide, over 400,000 people have died and over 3.6 million people have been infected by the coronavirus pandemic thus far. As a result, the coronavirus has become the focus of researchers around the world. It has been discovered that convalescent plasma can be donated to help COVID-19 patients fight the virus.
Although this has been deemed a viable way to treat COVID-19 patients, there is still little action to get recovered coronavirus patients to donate their plasma. As a result, Plasma4COVID is an initiative to increase the amount of convalescent plasma donations from the public to treat those fighting the virus.
