We have many reasons why we are oncology nurses. The love for our patients, and their family, or making a difference in their lives and even making a change in our profession. However, whatever reasons you have, it all leads back to a life or lives being affected, whether it’s theirs or your own life.
Another way we can change a person’s life is to donate your blood. Blood is a precious gift that anyone can give to another person—it is a gift of life! The gift of blood can help save someone’s life and right now, the demand is high in the United States. THE ORANGE COUNTY ONS CHAPTER IS INVITING EACH ONS MEMBER ACROSS THE UNITED STATES TO JOIN US AND MAKE A PLEDGE TO DONATE BLOOD AT YOUR LOCAL BLOOD BANK, WAS WE UNITE OUR EFFORTS TO MEET THE GROWING NEED FOR BLOOD IN OUR COMMUNITIES.
