Miss Porter’s School educates young women to become informed, bold, resourceful and ethical global citizens and expects its graduates to shape a changing world. That’s one of the reasons why we’re celebrating our Virtual Day of Service on September 11, 2020. This SleevesUp Campaign is one of several ways you, your family, friends, and fellow Ancients may be of service by donating blood or platelets anytime between August 28th and September 13th. Last year, we partnered with the American Red Cross to install smoke alarms in a vulnerable community is Los Angeles. This year we are supporting the American Red Cross by rolling up our sleeves where ever we might be located across the United States to donate the gift of life – blood or platelets. We’ve chosen this service project because blood and platelets cannot be manufactured – they can only come from volunteer donors, and only 3 out of 100 Americans donate blood which is not enough to maintain an adequate blood supply. Thank you for considering this crucial service project and donating every 56 days thereafter. You’ll be helping three people every time you donate.
I am pleased to announce that we will be extending the Campaign Time Frame through Sunday, October 4th. Thanks so much for considering a donation!
