We work together every day to do important work. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive life saving blood.
YOU can give blood. YOU can be a giver of life. Most people do not know that beyond blood, you can also donate plasma, platelets, and red blood cells based on your blood type. Each of these are important. The Red Cross is experiencing its worst blood shortage in over a decade. The only way we can end this crisis is to act. Blood donations may not seem exciting, but it makes a life changing difference in the lives of each and every recipient. And it’s a difference, as a donor, that I can make. Or you can make. Or anyone can make. And it can save a life.
