As many of you know, the owner, Mike Glasser, has been battling cancer for the last two years. During this time, he has had chemotherapy, radiation therapy, CAR-T cell therapy, a bone marrow transplant, immunotherapy, and is now participating in a clinical trial for an antibody therapy. He has been through the ringer! 

We have asked Mike the best way to show our love and support and he mentioned that supporting the American Red Cross would mean a lot to him. Like many cancer patients, he requires many blood and platelet transfusions, and blood products are in short supply. We would love to honor Mike with a Virtual Sleeves Up blood drive.  Supporters can sign up here to donate blood in Mike’s name at their closest donation center – at a time that works best for them.

Those who are unable to donate blood but would like to support the campaign can make a financial donation to the Red Cross on Mike’s behalf via Venmo @ MikeGlasserBloodDrive5759 (last 4 digits of phone number are 5759). Lindsay Johnson, the campaign organizer will track and forward the funds raised through our community to the Red Cross.

We work together every day to do important work, but today we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive lifesaving blood.
