Over the course of her treatment, Maddy has received several blood and platelet transfusions. At the time of her diagnosis, the leukemia cells were taking up so much space in her blood that she only had a third of her red blood cells.
Donated blood and modern medicine has saved our sweet girl and we are donating blood to help others in need, especially for those fighting childhood cancer.
