One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently. After I delivered my daughter, Hannah, I began bleeding internally. I needed blood transfusions and emergency surgeries to stop the bleeding and save my life. In the end, I received over 14 units of blood (by my count it was 18).
Without volunteer blood donors, our story would have had a different ending. Help me reach my goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
I am desperate to give back after my experience delivering my daughter! Unfortunately, due to medications I am taking I am unable to give blood at this time. I thought this was the perfect way to raise awareness and also get some blood for those in need! As soon as I’m done with these medications in the late spring I will be first in line! I hope you will help me in the meantime!
