One of our Mercy Housing employees said: ” I started donating blood in January after I was inspired by family members to do so. Donating blood is a direct way for me to contribute to my community and save lives in about 30 minutes. There is a national blood shortage – of the 38% of people in the US who are eligible to donate blood, only about 3% do so. I find hope in knowing that this little donation means life to someone out there. I thought that the call to donate blood would resonate with the amazing generosity of the Mercy community. Plus, there are really good snacks!”
