I was raised to believe that if I am able to give something that someone else needs, then I should do it. Several people in my life have need blood transfusions due to cancer or other illnesses, so this cause is very close to my heart. This is why I’m donating my birthday to the American Red Cross.
In lieu of gifts this year, I’m hosting a SleevesUp virtual blood drive and asking friends and family to pledge to give blood in the next 60 days. Together, we’ll track pledges, cheer each other on, and most importantly, provide a life saving gift to those in need.
