Fourth months after COVID-19 wreaked havoc on me and my family, nearly taking my Dad from us, I looked forward to donating my antibody-rich plasma to help others suffering from this horrible virus.
Unfortunately, I just found out that for the same reason I can’t donate blood (I lived in London during the Mad Cow Disease years), I’m also blacklisted from donating plasma. 🙁
But in an effort to do something good, I’m committing to regular (monetary) donations to the Red Cross, and am organizing this virtual blood drive to encourage my friends, neighbors, colleagues, family to consider a blood donation.
Dad turns 75 this September, so to commemorate his KICKING COVID IN THE DONUTS, I’m hoping to get 75 people to pledge a donation before the end of September. Let’s all celebrate with a mountain of Boston Creme when we’re on the other side of this…
XO,
Deb
