Hey all! I would love to have people donate in the name of my birthday. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve seen 3-4 units literally save a life again and again. it gives us the time to stabilize the patients and figure out what has happened. I am humbled too by my experience in Tanzania with no blood banks and seeing a 15 year old die from heart failure because of malaria induced anemia and no blood bank. I’m not able to donate right now because I’m taking care of covid patients so would love to have others donate.
