I grew up seeing my mom donate blood as often as she could but it took me years (and years…14 actually) to overcome a phobia to be able to donate. The process itself is painless and really rewarding, it’s a priceless way to give back/pay it forward. Dedicating this drive in honor of my sister Amy who’s fighting breast cancer and my friend Bob who’s recovering from receiving a new heart!
