We work together every day to do important work. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive life saving blood.

The employees at Jackson Lab have an opportunity to donate blood in 2023 and to give the gift of life to a patient needing red cells, platelets, or plasma.  To kick-off the campaign and in support of our motto, You Are the Heart Of Jax, healthy and eligible employees can sign up to donate at the Bar Harbor, ME or Farmington, CT corporate blood drives being held on Tuesday, February 7th.  Space is limited so the early birds will get the slots.

For those JAX employees, working remotely, who want to donate, but can’t on the 7th, there are plenty of opportunities to donate that are convenient to the JAX location or near your home.  Go to www.redcrossblood.org and enter your zip code to find the closest and most convenient blood drive for you.  Use sponsor code, JaxLab, to show your support for our JAX Sleeves Up Campaign. Between Jan 9th and February 28th, we hope to collect over 100 pledges to donate.
