iSucceed has long challenged traditional notions of “community”. Our virtual school extends well beyond a classroom, a building, a neighborhood, and even beyond the borders of a city and state. Right now, every concentric circle of community that we touch is being impacted by a shortage of life-saving blood. This is a challenge that can only be met by viewing ourselves within the iSucceed definition of community and rising to the occasion to help people we’ve never had the opportunity to meet. iSucceed staff, students*, and families are welcome and encouraged to join the inaugural iSucceed Virtual Schools Blood Drive and #isvhslearntogive.
While giving blood is a reward in and of itself, iSucceed is upping the stakes. Anyone who pledges to donate blood through this campaign before May 30, 2022, will be entered into a drawing for either a $25 Bed, Bath, and Beyond gift card or a $25 Best Buy gift card. Share your donation experience on either Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #isvhslearntogive
*Idaho residents must be 17 years old to donate blood. Family members are welcome to donate on behalf of younger students.
We work together every day to do important work. But today, we want to accomplish something even more meaningful. The Red Cross has to collect 15,000 blood donations every day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals and transfusion centers across the country. That’s a lot of patients in need and all of us, coming together, can help ensure patients receive life saving blood.
So SleevesUp and help us reach our goal. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
