Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. We’re asking our team to come together to celebrate life by ensuring that patients in need get life saving blood.
We were inspired to set up this blood drive because someone in our extended community was recently diagnosed with Leukemia, and has experienced the critical importance of having access to blood and platelet donations. In the past 19 days, he has received eight blood transfusions and seven platelet transfusions. Each bag of life-saving platelets requires donation from five donors. This amounts to 35 individuals whose compassionate donation are helping to save his life. In his honor, we want to drive awareness of how critical blood donation is, and ensure that patients with blood cancer have access to the donations they need for recovery.
