In Memory of Andrew Gary Madden

One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a personal meaning for our family on March 8th of 2013.  The tragedy that shook our family would have been made much worse if it wasn’t for the donations made by these wonderful blood donors.  Andrew required 26 units of blood that day.  Without this gift we would have not been able to get to him to say our last good byes.

Andrew was a giving person by nature. Since his passing we have been doing random acts of kindness to honor the memory of that giving spirit.  He was always there to help a friend, family member, or total stranger in need.  He was even a blood donor himself.  His circle of friends and family reached far and wide so we decided to start a virtual blood drive campaign.  No matter where you are, you can help those in need in your area while honoring Andrew’s spirit.

Our family is asking for your help if you are able to donate blood.  Without volunteer blood donors, other families may not have the opportunity we did. Help us reach our goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Please make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross today.
