One blood donation can help save up to three lives. That means a lot to patients in need, but it took on a new meaning recently.
This is such an important cause to me because my dad (Rodrick Dixon) had to undergo two blood transfusions after having two separate heart surgeries. His last one being a descending aortic dissection on May 26th, 2021. I’m telling our story because without the abundance of blood availability he would not be here today. I’d like to return the blessing of blood donations by coordinating the drive and getting as many people I can to donate to help save more lives!
Patients in need count on drives like ours to provide a steady supply of blood. Each donation can help save up to three lives, so by meeting our goal, we can touch so many lives in our community and around the country.
Without volunteer blood donors, our story might have had a different ending. Help me reach my goal and ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
