I started volunteering with the Red Cross at their wildfire relief sites in LA in January, and I enjoyed my time there so much I continued with the Red Cross as a Blood Donor Ambassador, volunteering at blood drives near me. It’s been so fulfilling and a welcome apolitical break from all the turmoil in the world right now. When I go to a blood drive I know that no matter what, everyone who walks through those doors is there to save lives, and that feels pretty freakin’ great. Being able to make such an immediate and tangible impact on someone in need is a feeling unlike any other, so I hope you and your loved ones will find a blood drive near you and start saving lives with me!
