One blood donation can help save up to three lives. There are a lot of patients in need, but it took on a new meaning about a year ago when I received a ligament donation. This was not a life-threatening situation, like most of the people in need of blood, but still, the sense of overwhelming gratitude I have for that individual is very strong to this day. I promised his or her family that I would do all I can to use the gratitude I have for that individual and their family as inspiration to promote the gift of life through blood and organ donations as far as I can reach.
Please help me keep my promise and reach my goal to ensure that patients receive the life saving blood they need. Make and keep an appointment to give blood to the American Red Cross.
