This blood drive is to honor our daughter Cora and her mother’s resilience. On 11/24/24, we experienced a tragedy and a miracle. After an uneventful full-term pregnancy and a long, difficult induction and labor, we lost our daughter Cora shortly after she was born. Kim started to bleed tremendously but pulled through after a miracle procedure and frequent blood transfusions. The juxtaposition of a loss and a survival has taught us just how precious life is. The generosity of blood donors saved Kim’s life, and with the community’s contributions, we can save more lives.
