Our 13-year-old daughter had an emergency blood transfusion last month for which we’ll always be grateful. Her internal bleeding flooded unexpectedly. We were afraid and uncertain – and then relieved when her petite body absorbed two bags of someone’s B+ blood. We will never know who generously took the time and care to share their blood but, as this trauma is unforgettable, they will be unforgettable to us.
