Give to Live

4 /100

Every day, 43 kids are diagnosed with cancer. Around the world, 14 million people are diagnosed every year. For the year of 2017, the American Cancer Society has projected more than 1.69 million diagnoses, many of which will need blood, sometimes daily, during treatment.

The blood you donate to the ARC will go directly to cancer patients, accident survivors, and people with blood disorders. One donation can save up to three people’s lives, but the ARC still has to collect 15,000 donations a day to have enough blood to help patients in 2,700 hospitals across the country. Imagine the good we can do when we all come together and donate!

Blood can be donated every 8 weeks, platelets every two, and power red (double red) can be donated every 4 months. However, the average donor only gives blood once or twice a year! Giving blood takes very little time and is completely free. Let’s all join together and give, so that people can live.
